The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (HASiL/LHDN) has released new e-Invoice document versions v1.2 and v1.3 as part of the latest MyInvois Software Development Kit (SDK) update. The new versions are introduced to support the e-Invoice Special Voluntary Disclosure Programme (SVDP) while maintaining compatibility with existing e-Invoice implementations.
For businesses already using LHDN's e-Invoice system, the good news is that no major changes to your current e-Invoice workflow are required.
According to the latest MyInvois SDK documentation:
The update applies to all supported e-Invoice document types, including:
This means existing integrations remain fully compatible without requiring structural modifications.
The primary purpose of v1.2 and v1.3 is to facilitate submissions under the Special Voluntary Disclosure Programme (SVDP).
The SVDP provides taxpayers with an opportunity to regularise their e-Invoice compliance and voluntarily disclose qualifying transactions. According to HASiL, the programme will remain available until 31 December 2027.
For most businesses, no immediate action is required.
If your organisation is already submitting e-Invoices using Version 1.1, your existing submission process can continue without modification for normal business operations. Since Version 1.3 shares the same document structure as Version 1.1, system changes are generally unnecessary unless your business intends to participate in the Special Voluntary Disclosure Programme.
Businesses planning to submit documents under the SVDP should ensure their software solution supports the appropriate document version.
As Malaysia's e-Invoice requirements continue to evolve, businesses should stay updated with the latest announcements from HASiL and ensure their accounting system remains fully compliant with the MyInvois framework.
Biztrak's LHDN e-Invoice-ready accounting software is continuously updated to support the latest MyInvois requirements, helping businesses automate e-Invoice submission, reduce compliance risks, and streamline their accounting processes.
